A new dance theatre production by Aberystwyth Arts Centre associate artist Gwyn Emberton, inspired by Caradoc Evans’ controversial collection of short stories ‘My People’. Through intricately crafted and affecting choreography this new work explores the dark, turbulent, and sometimes mythical world of Evans’ fictional village of Manteg. Combined with a new score by associate composers of Y Gwyll/The Hinterland, Benjamin Talbot and Victoria Ashfield, ‘My People’ captures the beauty within the harsh reality of the book, creating a powerful and haunting world on stage.
