They are the King and Queen of High School, the Mr and Mrs of illogical, and the queer and deluded of home life. They’re Gary and Pel – and they’ve now got their own web sitcom!
Gary and Pel, the web series, is a live action cartoon comedy premiering on YouTube on November 3rd at 8pm. Gary (Alex Marshall Parsons) has a wandering eye for the milkman and a panic fear of his wife catching him, while Pel (Kim Noble) is the floating kitchen knife-wife of Nutscranny, Clun and self-proclaimed pan entrepreneur. Watch as the queer and deluded collide in a chaotic cartoon comedy featuring dynamic dance and ludicrous faces!
The 10-episode series was funded by the Arts Council of Wales as a research and development project in December 2015. Episodes will be released every Monday at 8pm followed by a behind the scenes sneak peek video, kicking off with a double episode premiere.
Gary and Pel are a South Wales based performance company previously commissioned by Carlson Dance’s Dance Shorts, creating an action-packed 10-minute foyer performance. They also performed at 2015’s Wales Dance Platform at Chapter, Cardiff.
The project stars Alex Marshall Parsons as Gary, Kim Noble as Pel and Hugh Stanier as the mysterious milkman. The web series was filmed by 4Pi Productions and features art by Welsh artist Cet Haf.
