Kirsty Rosser: playing the Snow Queen in Odyssey’s Christmas show

December 1, 2016 by

My name is Kirsty Rosser and I have been involved with Hijinx Odyssey since 2004. I also attend the Hijinx Academy and perform at festivals and events around the country in a Hijinx Pod show called Flossie & Jet.

I have been lucky enough to be chosen for the role of the Snow Queen in Odyssey’s Christmas production of The Snow Queen, which is on at the Weston Studio, Wales Millennium Centre from 1st-3rd December. I was so please when I found out that I was going to be playing the Snow Queen I was in tears. I’m nervous but excited to be playing the role.

Odyssey members raise funds to put on our productions, so this year I overcame my fear of heights and did a sponsored walk over the top of Newport Transporter Bridge. I raised a total of £400! I’m really glad I raised all that money for Odyssey.

People should come and see The Snow Queen because it’s a new adaptation of the original story where you’ll be able to watch lots of circus tricks and a community cast of disabled and non-disabled actors together with pupils from Woodlands High School.

Until December 3.
